This direct appeal, brought under the Teacher Tenure Act, T.C.A. §Â§ 49-5-501, et seq., involves the dismissal of Plaintiff, Freeman M. Cooper, from his position as principal of Fairview High School by Defendant, Williamson County Board of Education (the Board). Due to certain procedural defects in the proceedings in the trial court, we have determined that the judgment of the Chancery Court for Williamson County must be partially vacated and the case remanded for a new hearing solely on the issue of the Plaintiffs dismissal.
